About Personal  Injury Attorney Peter J. Casey

I have 30 years of experience as a Trial Attorney. The first half of my courtroom career was spent defending towns, corporations and clients from personal injury claims. This wealth of knowledge serves me well in assessing the value of cases. The insurance companies and judges know that I can successfully litigate cases when settlement offers are too low. In fact, other lawyers refer me cases for trial when the insurance carriers refuse to pay their settlement demands.

I have tried cases in Hartford, New Britain, Middletown, Rockville, New London, Waterbury and New Haven. I have argued cases in both the State Appellate Court and Connecticut Supreme Court. For the past 20 years I have served as an arbitrator and attorney trial referee deciding cases in Hartford and New Britain Superior Court. Insurance defense attorneys and plaintiff attorneys also hire me to conduct private mediations and arbitrations.

I am a member of the Hartford County Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. I served as an adjunct professor teaching Moot Court at the University of Connecticut School of Law from 2009 to 2016. I clerked for the Honorable Edward Y. O’Connell at the Connecticut State Appellate Court after graduating law school.

I opened the Law Office of Peter J. Casey in October 2008. Running my own law practice allows me to dedicate the time needed to develop the client relationship critical to winning at trial. So make the right choice for you and your family and put my trial experience and legal knowledge to work on your case today.
